Frequently Asked Questions
Which dog training program may fit my Camelback East dog?
The appropriate program depends on your dog’s age, behavior history, current obedience, and training goals. Basic Obedience provides foundational private instruction, while Basic + Advanced adds distance work and advanced commands.
Separate programs are available for puppies, immersive Board & Train, therapy-dog preparation, aggression or reactivity involving other dogs, and reward-based marker training. A free phone consultation can help you compare the available options.
How long does dog training take?
The timeline depends on the selected program. Basic Obedience runs for four weeks, while Basic + Advanced, Aggressive Dog Training, and Therapy Dog Preparation run for eight weeks.
The standard and puppy Board & Train programs each provide two weeks of immersive training. Aggression Board & Train combines two weeks of immersive training with four additional weekly lessons.
Do all programs use an e-collar?
No. Basic Obedience, Basic + Advanced, the standard Two-Week Board & Train, and the aggression-focused programs list an e-collar among their equipment or features.
Basic Marker Mastery™ is a separate reward-based program that uses marker and clicker training. The Puppy Board & Train uses positive reinforcement to establish crate- and potty-training routines.
Ask the Phoenix team to explain the methods and equipment associated with each program before enrolling.
Can training help with aggression or reactivity?
The Phoenix location lists an eight-week private program for dogs with aggression or reactivity involving other dogs and an Aggression Board & Train option for eligible dogs.
These programs focus on obedience, owner control, structured practice, training tools, and safer handling. Major dog or human aggression cannot be guaranteed to be completely corrected. Owners should disclose the dog’s complete behavior and bite history before enrolling.
